As a designer and an avid traveler, my life has always been a journey of collecting vibrant colors, unique textures, and inspiring stories from around the world. But it was during an unexpected encounter that I discovered American Mahjong—a game rich in connection, filled with laughter, and pulsing with a beautiful tactile ritual. I fell in love with it instantly.  To me, a mahjong tile shouldn't just be a piece for a game; it can be a beautiful canvas for memories.

A Spark of Passion

Over the past years, I have had the privilege of collaborating closely with private clubs, event hosts, and individual collectors to design bespoke, custom mahjong sets tailored exclusively to their personal visions. Helping them bring their dream concepts to life made me realize something profound: I am deeply, genuinely in love with this new path.

This work has become my passion. It inspired a strong desire within me to take the beauty, the art, and the wonders I’ve witnessed on my travels and turn them into exquisite mahjong sets to share with the world.

You might wonder where our name, Windcut, comes from. It isn't a word born from a marketing textbook; it is the longtime online moniker of my wife.

Throughout this journey of turning travel memories into art, her unwavering belief and endless support have been the gentle wind beneath my wings, yet the sharp force that gave me the courage to cut through doubts and break conventions.

By naming this studio after her, I carry her strength into every tile I design.  We don't just manufacture sets; we craft artistic bridges that connect your global wanderlust with your closest friendships.
